Best Free Sweepstakes Sites 2026: No Purchase Necessary
Alltroo has the most usable free entry route in US sweepstakes: a free online submission worth 2,500 entries, more than its own $50 a month subscription tier earns. One Country is second at 300 entries per mail-in, and OVRLND publishes the best single-card rate at 100. Rankings, addresses and one navigation trap below.
Why do free entries have to carry the same odds?
An illegal private lottery needs prize, chance and consideration together. Consideration is the money you hand over, and the Alternative Method of Entry, or AMOE, removes it. The consequence people underuse is that one free entry and one paid entry have exactly the same chance of being drawn. If payment bought a weighting advantage, the promotion would collapse back into a lottery. What sponsors can do, and all of them do, is make paid entries accumulate faster: Alltroo scales $1 to 10 entries and $1,000 to 20,000. So the only question is arithmetic. How many entries does the free route give you, and what would it cost to buy that many?

1. Alltroo. A free online submission yields 2,500 entries for sweepstakes launched on or after July 1, 2026. No donation, no envelope, no stamp. Its own tiers are Supporter at $15 a month for 100 entries, Advocate at $25 for 500, and Champion at $50 for 2,000, so one free submission out-earns the top subscription and would cost $250 to match by donation. The reservation: Alltroo self-administers with no third-party administrator named, and its winners page appears stale, with nothing from August or September 2026 and metadata dated December 2025.
2. One Country. Print a form from the giveaway page, add a handwritten return address and mail it. Each mail-in is worth 300 entries, maximum 20 per month. Twenty at 300 is 6,000, and the cap is 6,000 entries per person per giveaway per month, so a determined free entrant reaches exactly the ceiling a paying member reaches. The reservation: that is 20 forms, envelopes and stamps every month. One Country names no administrator, excludes Michigan and Louisiana, and excludes prizes over $5,000 in New York and Florida. Its BBB profile URL now 404s, so the rating and complaint count we previously cited cannot be verified and we are not repeating it. The Michigan Gaming Control Board issued a cease-and-desist in August 2024 over unlicensed online lottery activity, which the Michigan exclusion appears to answer.
3. OVRLND. The per-giveaway rules say to mail a handwritten card to "OVRLND Sweepstakes, PO Box 239, Macedon, NY 14502-0239" for 100 entries, ten times the standard rate here. It attaches to a documented promotion: a 1985 Toyota SR5 XtraCab plus $10,000, ARV $95,000, closing September 17, 2026, with American Sweepstakes & Promotion Co., Inc. named as administrator. The reservation: no entries-per-dollar rate is published for purchases, so you cannot calculate what 100 free entries would have cost. Eligibility is USA only.
4 to 7. Reel Chance, VanLife US, Lvl Up and Tiny Homes US. All four publish the same shape in their per-giveaway rules: a handwritten card to a Macedon, New York PO box worth 10 entries, each naming American Sweepstakes & Promotion Co., Inc. as administrator. Four cards match a month of Reel Chance's $15 Crew tier and eight match Tiny Homes US's $15 Bronze tier. None publishes a total entry pool, so entries cannot be converted into odds.
8 and 9. Forged 4x4 and 80Eighty, routes you cannot check. Forged 4x4 states that no purchase is necessary, but the entry ratios, including the widely cited $1 for 4 entries, are not in the live HTML. They sit inside a downloadable PDF the terms page defers to. 80Eighty is worse. Earlier reporting, ours included, cited 50 entries per 3x5 card to PO Box 18, Riverton, UT 84065. That is not confirmable on any reachable page today: the rules page serves Dream Car Giveaway #63 terms from 2023 and /pages/official-rules does not resolve. We are not stating a current 80Eighty address or rate, because we cannot verify one. That does not mean no free route exists, only that you would have to ask 80Eighty for the current per-giveaway document.
10. UltraCore Systems, the disparity worth asking about
UltraCore publishes a free online entry form and a free mail-in route. The published numbers are these. The free online entry is worth 1 entry. The cheapest paid option, a $9.99 digital poster, is worth 10,000. The ladder continues at $19.99 for 35,000, $49.99 for 50,000 and $99.99 for 250,000, capped at 10,000,000 per entrant. That is a 10,000 to 1 gap. The free mail-in route also exists and its entry value is not published anywhere we could find, so the full picture is not visible and the mail-in may carry a very different figure.
Equal odds per entry is the legal core of an AMOE, and UltraCore, like every operator here, states that no purchase is necessary. We are not asserting that anything here is unlawful and we are not calling this a scam. We are saying the published figure of 1 against 10,000 is the single thing we would want clarified before spending money here, and that the unpublished mail-in value is what stops a reader resolving it themselves.
One more note: Build #10, "THE ARCADE", ARV $4,948.00, closed on September 6, 2026 with no winner published and no Build #11 announced, yet the homepage and the free-entry page still show it as the live promotion.
The two-AMOE problem: check which rules page you are on
This is the most practical warning here. Reel Chance, VanLife US, Lvl Up, Tiny Homes US and OVRLND each publish two rules documents: a generic house-rules page linked from the footer, and a per-giveaway rules page for the promotion actually running. They give different free entry addresses at different rates. Two confirmed examples. VanLife US's house-rules page at vanlife.us/pages/sweeps-rules gives PO Box 699, New York, NY 10013 at 25 entries per day and names no administrator. Lvl Up's at lvlup.us/pages/sweep-rules gives 3555 S 700 W, Suite A, Salt Lake City, UT 84119, also at 25 a day, also naming no administrator. The Macedon boxes and the administrator appear only in the per-giveaway rules.
The per-giveaway page is the governing document. A reader who finds the house-rules page first, which is the one in the footer and the one search results tend to surface, will address an envelope to the wrong state at the wrong rate. Postage spent, entries not received. Treat this as a navigation problem rather than an accusation: open the rules page for the specific giveaway, confirm the address and count there, and ignore the footer link.
Is the free route worth the effort?
At Alltroo, One Country and OVRLND, yes, and those three are the outliers. At 10 entries per card it is a grind, usable only if you will do it repeatedly for two or three months and mail to the right address. And no legitimate US sweepstakes asks a winner to pay a fee, a tax or a processing cost to release a prize. A free-entry promotion that later invoices you is advance-fee fraud.
The short version
Free entries must legally carry the same odds as paid ones. Sponsors can sell more entries, not better ones.
Alltroo leads at 2,500 entries per free online submission, beating its own $50 a month tier at 2,000. One Country is second at 300 per mail-in, 20 a month, reaching its 6,000-entry cap exactly.
OVRLND publishes the best single card at 100 entries to PO Box 239, Macedon, NY. Reel Chance, VanLife US, Lvl Up and Tiny Homes US publish 10 per card to their own Macedon boxes.
Five brands publish two conflicting AMOEs, and only the per-giveaway page governs. VanLife US's house page gives a New York City address and Lvl Up's a Salt Lake City address, both wrong for the live promotion.
80Eighty's free route is not confirmable on any reachable page today, and Forged 4x4's ratios sit inside a PDF.
UltraCore publishes 1 entry for a free online submission against 10,000 for a $9.99 digital poster, with an unpublished mail-in alongside. That gap is the thing to clarify before spending.
A sweepstakes that asks a winner for money is fraud, without exception.
